Unplayable

Freezes after the first wave, appears to be nothing more than a copy-pasted Feronato tutorial anyway.

Valdamoon responds:

Make sure that you click the slider bar, Maybe you should check out your system statistics.
Or update your flash.

Argh.

Please compress your sound files. This shouldn't be much over 1mb, 4mb for a movie this size is disgusting.

LilHabu responds:

Sorry, will do.

<__________<

This engine looks awfully familiar..

wsp responds:

it is loosly based on the engine namzorg made, but I did do some heavy modifications to it to improve the "feel". Also I did infact memorize the code and know it off by heart now and wrote it myself :P

Brilliant.

I played the first one a while ago, and didn't think much of it, but this is just something else.

I think this is the best music-based flash game I've ever seen, it just plays so well, the tabbing is accurate, and feels right when you play it, especially the chords.

The only thing I can knock is the voice when you up multiplier is a little annoying because it plays over the song, but aside from that, epic.

Congratulations.

Shinki responds:

Thanks!

I realised that some people might not like the voice, you can disable it just before you press 'Ready'.

Preloader

The preloader problem is because you have all of your library objects set to export in first frame - therefore, they have to load for the preloader to show up. The solution is to turn off 'export in first frame' in linkage, then put everything you want loaded in a hidden frame (when I say hidden, I mean the user should never see it). If you don't put everything in a hidden frame, and have export in first frame turned off, it just plain won't load at all xD

Hope this helped, this problem had me stumped for days.

Fickludd responds:

Thanks a lot for that, now it's sorted out! I thought (sp?) it was something like that but didn't know how to fix it...

Good work.

Simple idea, but very well executed. Congratulations.

Leonardo-Da-Finchy responds:

Thanks!

Still needs improvement

Getting there, but a couple of things need fixing - especially the glow filter of every stroke changing color when you select a new color for one stroke. Also, saving to file /is/ possible. Hell, you could even save a few frames to file, so the user could turn them into a gif and have an animated drawing.

liam responds:

"ITS NOT A BUG, ITS A FEATURE"

Saving to file is impossible to do without an external scripting language. I don't have a server.

.

Probably quite useful to beginning flashers, but I'd suggest less distracting music.

thequackattack responds:

lol. okay... Thanks for the review!=)

Cute.

That's a nice trick, but, me being ever the skeptic, how are we to know you didn't just tween the saturation out of it?

Kiril-Tupitsin responds:

If you dont belive it for real, your lost heh..

Wasted potential.

It has potential, but the slow frame rate really spoils it. Smooth movement is always good.

joshuaskillsrobles responds:

Not really, you just got to get use to it.
